Pauli signs with Manhattan Christian College
By Informer Staff Leah Pauli, who averaged 20 points per game for the Derby Invasion home school basketball team the last two seasons, has signed a letter of intent to play for Manhattan Christian College. Pauli will play for MCC coach Larry Olson, who said Pauli’s shooting ability and ball-handling skills are strengths that will serve her well at the college level. Pauli will contribute as a shooting guard but could transition to the point guard role later in her career, Olson said. Pauli was a three-time Kansas Christian Athletic Association all-league selection. She also earned KCAA all-tournament honors her sophomore and junior seasons. As a senior, Pauli received the “Sharp Shooter” award at the St. Paul preseason tournament. In addition to her skills on the basketball court, Pauli was a key contributor to the Derby Invasion volleyball team. Pauli also excelled in the classroom and has been an active member of her community. She carried a 3.58 GPA, and was an Awana leader and part of Box Tops for Education.

Derby Homeschool Athletic Association
Serving the Derby and Wichita area since 2000
The Derby Homeschool Athletic Association was established in 2000 to give area home schoolers opportunities to participate in varsity and junior high athletics. We are members of the Kansas Christian Athletic Association and are approved by the Kansas State High School Athletic Association. We are an all volunteer organization that is led by a board of directors elected from our members. We compete regularly in volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball and also have had teams compete in golf and cross country. DHAA focuses on the importance of developing the student athlete's character, maturity and athletic skills. All coaches and leaders are selected to work with our athletes with this goal in mind. We welcome families from all over south central Kansas to come out and take a look at DHAA!
